The Water Heroes of Donbass 
Water workers from Voda Donbasa, the regional water company in eastern Ukraine, risk their lives as they provide water to citizens living through Europe’s only war. Known locally as the ‘water heroes’ these locals work on both sides of the contact line, braving hostilities as they restore pumping stations and deliver water to thousands of citizens who are increasingly in need of their help.
